Roth’s Divergent Tackles Governmental Power and Discrimination

I enjoyed reading the Divergent series by Veronica Roth. They were a quick read (I read all three books within a week and a half despite my heavy work schedule) that flirted with themes of corruption in government, institutionalized discrimination, the dangers of genetic engineering, and the ability to choose who we wish to be rather than who we are told to be. Tris and Four are compelling characters.
